NXDN™ Forum Announces Further Member Expansion

Suwanee, GA – September 16, 2011 - The Chair of the NXDN™ Forum announced the addition of five new members to the Forum during a meeting held at the recent APCO 2011 show in Philadelphia.

During the General Meeting, five new members joined the NXDN™ Forum. These new member companies are; Altonika, Ltd., Avtec, Inc., GME/Standard Communications Pty Ltd., Telex Radio Dispatch Group (Bosch Security Systems, Inc.) and RF Technology Pty Ltd.

With the addition of these new members, the NXDN™ Forum has grown to 21 member companies with a versatile range of backgrounds from radio and infrastructure manufacturers, software protocol stacks, measuring equipment providers, dispatch systems providers and module component manufacturers. The NXDN™ membership is also becoming a more global in its reach with members from the United States of America, Canada, Japan, England, Australia and Russia.

The NXDN™ Forum was established in July, 2008 with eight founding members including Kenwood Corporation, Icom Incorporated, Kenwood USA Corporation, Icom America Incorporated, Aeroflex Wichita Inc., Daniels Electronics Ltd., Ritron Inc. and Trident Datacom Technologies, Inc. d/b/a Trident Micro Systems. The Forum was established for the promotion of the NXDN™ digital air protocol for use with 6.25 kHz and 12.5 kHz narrowband technology.
